Things to do in Seattle

There's more to our city than just great coffee!
Seattle's a great place to visit and always has so much going on! A lot of you are from out of town, so we thought it'd be good to give a few recommendations of what you may be interested in checking out.

Space Needle

Space Needle spaceneedle.com
If you're not afraid of heights, you'll love this place. The Space Needle is one of the most recognizable builings in the world and the symbol of Seattle. At the top they have a great restaurant called "SkyCity". It slowly spins around and gives you an amazing view of the city and water. Last year we went there for Valentine's Day. It was so romantic!

The Space Needle stands 605 ft. (184 m) high and was built for the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle.

Pike Place Fish Market Sign

Have you ever seen "Sleepless in Seattle"? You can find the Athenian Inn restaurant here where scenes from the movie were shot. And don't forget to stop by the famous Pike Place Fish Market. It's a lot of fun to watch the fish mongers throw the fish and sing and yell a lot. It's something you'll never forget. Quite entertaining!

A little side note while you're at Pike's...
Remember to drop by the first Starbucks ever, it's kinda cool to see.

Experience Music Project

Experience Music Project emplive.com
Any music lover will enjoy the EMP, an amazing facility that is half museum, half concert. You can see instruments and memorabilia from some of the worlds most influence musician, including a giant tribute to Jimmy Hendrix. Also attached is the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame which alone is worth the trip. As well, you will see some interesting architecture!
